This week I had so much fun at the Sox Game with my family! We got to sit in the Fist Merit Stadium Club, which my dad's bank sponsors! The Stadium Club is a restaurant that anyone can go to (if you get to the game early enough because it fills up fast, make a reservation before) that gives a buffet style meal every game! And the best part? You can go back many times because every game they change the buffet, so there are new foods to try every time! This restaurant was particularly nice for this game because it was cold outside, but the restaurant is indoors so that was not a problem! the restaurant is huge and covered with glass windows, so you can see the game no matter where you get a seat!

Now for the food! The Stadium Club on this day featured six different buffet tables: Salad, hors d'oeuvres (such as asparagus with goat cheese, grilled vegetables, and an assortment of toasts with cheese spreads), a meat cutting table with ribeye, turkey and pork, a table with chicken, more salads and pasta, a table with caprese salad and meatball sandwiches, you cannot forget the ballpark hotdogs station (featuring a Kansas City dog which has sauerkraut and swiss cheese on it), and finally a dessert table. For my first round I had the buffalo chicken salad, caprese salad, a multigrain toast with goat cheese spread, and some fruit!

For my second round, I got the meat...this ribeye was melt in your mouth good, but even better? The guy cutting it! He was so funny and asked to have his picture taken, so I got this beauty (reminds me of a picture in a restaurant advertisement, so I am pretty proud of it). The people who work at the Stadium Club were so nice and welcoming and willing to do anything to help you get the best experience! Nice People make for a better experience, even more of a reason to come to a Sox game! (Ps I am a cubs fan, I just came for the food and free tickets! GO CUBS!) Besides the ribeye, I also got some turkey, caesar salad, multigrain bread, a meatball, some pasta, and vegetables of course!

Then came my favorite round, DESSERT! A love for sweets runs deep in the Sweetland family blood so this table drew our attention right away. These little cupcakes were so good and moist and the perfect little cure for a sweet tooth! The cupcake flavors were red velvet with cream cheese frosting, vanilla with vanilla frosting, chocolate with vanilla frosting, chocolate with hazelnut frosting, and another chocolate cupcake with a really good frosting that I do not know what it was (sorry). I had the red velvet cupcake and it was so good! Behind the cupcakes is a jello cup. I did not have it, but I am sure it was good! Now for my favorite part of the table...

These little cake balls! At least we think they were cake balls...they were so good and the perfect consistency! They tasted like a cinnamon shortbread cookie, but moist like a cake ball. One flaw of the Stadium Club was that the desserts were not labeled, so we really did not know exactly what they were, these cake balls for example. For the most part it was obvious what the desserts were thought. For example, the cookies that were baked to perfection! So perfect that my sister and I had to go back for a second cookie even after we had our first round of desserts. But hey, the game is like two or more hours right? So there is time for seconds of dessert! My favorite cookie was the peanut butter cookie and my sisters was the chocolate chip. They also had oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies that we did not try. Behind the cookies was a coconut cake, which my mom loved. She topped it with some fresh fruit and it was so good!

This game was so much fun and the food was so good! I definitely recommend the First Merit Stadium Club if you are looking to watch some baseball and eat some tasty food! Enjoy!
